Grossman, November 19, 1938 ~ November 10, 2020 Barbara Ellen Grossman (Amborn), age 81 of Hastings, died peacefully on Tuesday evening, November 10, 2020, at Woodlyn Heights Healthcare Center in Inver Grove Heights. Barbara (Barb) Amborn was born on November 19, 1938, in Morris, MN, to Benjamin and Ellen (Engquist) Amborn. Barb graduated from Chokio High School in 1956 and married Gordon Grossman on September 7, 1956 in Chokio, MN. They were blessed with 46 years of marriage. Barb and Gordy lived in various cities throughout their marriage including Amenia, North Dakota; Baudette, MN; Brownton, MN and Babbitt, MN before settling in Hastings, MN. Barb worked as a nurse and treasurer for HYAA but her most important job was as a wife, mother and homemaker. Barbara was preceded in death by husband, Gordon, and parents, Benny Sr. and Ellen. Left to cherish her memory are her 5 children: Ronald (Linda) Grossman, Daniel (Terry) Grossman, Sandra (Jim) Page, Mariann Grossman and William (Kristen) Grossman. Barb is also survived by grandchildren: Heather Lieber, Andrew Grossman, Rick Forsgren, Tony Forsgren, Lori Schopf, Michael Grossman, Ashlee Grossman, Hope Grossman, Addyson Grossman, Thomas Hart, John Hart, James Hart, Allison Neely, Kjersten Page, Nicole Grossman, Joshua Grossman, Elizabeth Grossman, Samantha Grossman and 18 great-grandchildren:, brothers, Benjamin Amborn, Jr., Harvey (Audrey) Amborn, and Roger (Julene) Amborn and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the family will be holding a Christian Burial graveside service with immediate family only on Friday, November 20th. The family will honor Barbara at a Celebration of Life in 2021 at a date to be determined.
